Terms of Service
The rules covering orders, delivery, revisions, refunds and who owns what at the end.
Last updated 12 March 2025
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to every order placed through Northline Digital. Placing an order means you accept them. If you are ordering for a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so on its behalf.
This is a portfolio project. The copy below is written as realistic sample terms and is not legal advice — have a solicitor review anything you intend to use commercially.
2. Orders and scope
Each listing states its scope, the option you selected, and the number of revision rounds included. Work outside that scope is quoted separately and started only once you approve the quote in writing.
We may decline an order where the brief falls outside what we can deliver well, or where the request would breach a third party’s rights. In that case you are refunded in full.
3. Delivery windows
Delivery windows shown on each listing are working-day estimates that begin when your completed brief is returned, not at checkout. Delays caused by outstanding assets, feedback or approvals extend the window by the same period.
If we miss a committed window for reasons within our control, a credit of 10% of the order value is applied automatically to your account.
4. Revisions
Revision rounds included with your chosen option are listed on the product page. A round means one consolidated set of feedback, not an unlimited sequence of individual changes.
Additional rounds are billed at the published hourly rate for that service and always quoted before work begins.
5. Payment
Orders are paid in full at checkout unless a written agreement says otherwise. Retainers bill monthly in advance and can be cancelled before the next billing date with no notice period.
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies in your jurisdiction.
6. Refunds
Cancel before work starts and you are refunded in full. Once work is under way you may request a refund on the unstarted portion of the order at any time.
Where a deliverable does not match the agreed brief, we will correct it. If it still does not meet the brief after correction, the affected portion is refunded.
7. Ownership and licences
Full commercial rights in the final deliverables transfer to you on delivery and payment, including source files.
Third-party assets such as fonts, stock imagery and music remain under their own licences. We list every one used and the licence it needs so you can renew or replace it.
We may show delivered work in our portfolio. Tell us at any point and we will exclude it.
8. Liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or revenue.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
